Council approves updated fees and utility rates for 2026
At last weeks meeting of the Montevideo City Council, the council approved a resolution adopting the City’s 2026 fees and charges schedule, which includes increases to a range of service fees, permits and utility rates.

In 2014, my mother and my mother-in-law both passed away between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I remember that year, feeling numb and actually “going through the actions” as people gathered to celebrate Christmas. Even today, 11 years later, I still feel their loss as we engage in holiday gatherings without them.
